  • Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts (06:00 - 18:30)\n
  • Hours per Week: 36\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1650-$1690\n
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2\n
  • Call Requirement: 6 days per contract\n
  • Weekend Shifts: 4 per contract\n
  • Orientation: 12 hours onsite\n

\n\nPACU RN Job Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience (5 years preferred)\n
  • Prior travel nursing experience required\n
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required\n
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all required)\n
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (50-mile radius rule)\n
  • Experience in a Trauma Level II facility preferred\n
  • Skilled in assisting with anesthesia during epidural insertion and post-operative pain management\n

\n\nPACU Nurse Responsibilities\n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the PACU and pain management unit\n
  • Assist anesthesia providers with epidural insertion and manage post-operative pain (epidural/intrathecal)\n
  • Operate and manage PCEA pumps and specialized clinical equipment\n
  • Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort\n
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR\n
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care\n
  • Participate in scheduled call and weekend coverage as required\n
