Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in community engagement, program development, or social services, including partnership development and systems-building
Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Work Location Requirement: Hybrid (office, community, and field-based work with travel across boroughs required)
Compensation
Salary Range: Minimum: $85,000 | Maximum: $100,000

About the Role
The Director of Community Engagement is a strategic leadership role responsible for advancing community partnerships, strengthening cross-program collaboration, and increasing access to services. This individual serves as both an external ambassador and an internal systems leader, ensuring community voice, equitable access, and coordinated service delivery are embedded across programs.
Primary Responsibilities
Community Engagement, Organizing & Advocacy: Lead engagement strategies, forums, and stakeholder collaboration
Program Integration & Service Coordination: Align initiatives with agency-wide service delivery goals and ensure continuity of care
Strategic Partnerships & External Relations: Build partnerships and represent organization in coalitions
Community Resource Coordination: Oversee distribution and tracking of community resources
Engagement Programming: Design outreach campaigns and mobilize staff and partners
Data & Performance Management: Track engagement metrics and support continuous improvement
Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide leadership to staff, volunteers, and cross-functional teams
