Job Description

The barista prepares and serves high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while delivering excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include operating espresso machines, taking orders via POS systems, maintaining a clean, sanitary, and stocked workspace, and educating customers on menu items. They thrive in fast-paced environments, often managing high-volume, early morning, or weekend shifts.

Compensation:

$15.16 - $15.50 hourly

Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation: Expertly preparing coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and blended beverages to company standards.
Customer Service: Greeting customers, taking orders, making recommendations, and building rapport.
Station Maintenance: Cleaning equipment, washing dishes, cleaning tables, and maintaining overall café cleanliness.
Stock Management: Replenishing inventory, restocking workstations, and organizing displays.
POS Operations: Processing cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience as a barista, in food service, or in customer service is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with brewing methods, espresso machine operation, and coffee bean types.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers and work as a team.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Common Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of sanitation and health regulations.
