As a Client Account Manager, you are the face and voice of Hometown Insurance Center for our existing policyholders. This isn't just about answering phones—it’s about providing expert guidance, solving problems, and ensuring every client feels like they are part of our family. You will manage a dedicated book of business, handling everything from daily service requests to complex policy renewals and coverage reviews.
Responsibilities
- Client Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for personal and/or commercial lines clients, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Policy Management: Process renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and certificates of insurance with high attention to detail.
- Proactive Reviews: Conduct annual policy reviews to identify changes in risk and suggest coverage enhancements or "re-marketing" when necessary.
- Claims Support: Guide clients through the initial claims process, providing a supportive hand and acting as a liaison with the carrier.
- Carrier Relations: Maintain strong working relationships with our carrier underwriters to advocate for our clients' best interests.
- Documentation: Keep meticulous records in our agency management system to ensure compliance and seamless team communication.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in an insurance agency setting is preferred.
- License: Active [State] Property & Casualty Insurance License (or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire).
- Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-Centric: A genuine desire to help people and a "no-task-is-too-small" attitude.
- Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, Vertafore/AMS360) and Microsoft Office Suite.
