Job Details
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated accounting professional to support the Controller in all aspects of the department’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Controller with daily, monthly, and annual accounting tasks
- Maintain standard ledger entries and perform monthly account reconciliations, including inventory
- Record payroll-related ledger entries
- Support monthly billing and invoice generation
- Handle month-end close activities and prepare bank reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, and assist with collections
- Review and analyze job cost data
- Maintain Excel-based financial records, including depreciation tracking for two real estate LLCs
- Supervise 2–4 clerical staff
- Serve as liaison with third-party tax accountants
- Take on special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Familiarity with job costing and inventory accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Experience with QuickBooks required
- Familiarity with Aspire Landscape Business software is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
