Position Overview – Full Charge Bookkeeper

The Full Charge Bookkeeper manages the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and payroll while ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with GAAP. This role oversees the general ledger, month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and works closely with management and the outside CPA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger and financial records.
  • Complete month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor payments.
  • Process payroll through ADP.
  • Record accruals, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and other journal entries.
  • Manage banking transactions, including ACH, wires, and deposits.
  • Coordinate with the outside Accountant.
  • Train accounting staff and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in wholesale or distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and AP/AR.
  • Experience with Acumatica or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills; ADP payroll experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

Summary

This is an accounting position requiring expertise in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, payroll, ERP systems, and audit support, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
