Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 04/20/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: $2,913 to $3,058 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days. Setting: Home healthcare – hospice. This is a travel, temporary assignment with no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate professional nursing care for patients undergoing surgical experiences; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in perioperative care; perform RNFA duties within facility policies; report to the Director of Perioperative Services.
- Demonstrate leadership and professionalism as an expanded RN role; ensure adherence to standards of nursing practice and Tenet Standards of Conduct (Service, People, Quality, Growth, Cost).
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to promote patient safety, comfort, and efficient care transitions; document care accurately and communicate changes to the care team.
- Maintain accountability for professional practice and ongoing performance within a home-based perioperative setting.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (RN)
- Perioperative nursing experience or RN First Assistant (RNFA) training
- Ability to work in a travel assignment within a home healthcare – hospice setting
- Demonstrated ability to operate under established policies and standards of care
- Strong teamwork, communication, and professional accountability
