Director of Construction
Job Overview:
The Director of Construction is the nucleus of the organization. This position is responsible for managing all timelines through all phases of a project. This role ensures the correct information is passed through each department while also engaging with our customers to ensure their expectations are being met for strong and healthy long term relationships.

Job Responsibilities:
• Managing timelines both within Pre Construction as well as within Course of Construction to ensure all customer deadlines are met
• Identify organizational needs as it relates to personnel, processes, IT, HR and all other facets to maintain a healthy organization
• Responsible for overseeing, maintaining and developing company financial goals and margin goals as it pertains to all approved work
• Troubleshoot issues within both Pre-Construction as well as Course of Construction both on a macro (divisional) and micro (project) level
• Hold weekly PM call with all Sr. PMs, PMs, PCs, and Site Superintendents to review each ongoing and upcoming project is being properly managed while identifying fail points
• Hold weekly Pre-Construction call with Pre-Con Manager and Pre-Con Coordinator to ensure bid timelines are met and correct bid processes and margins are being maintained
• Point of contact for all clients and responsible for the maintaining of these relationships to ensure future opportunities continue through strong relationship ties and overcoming challenges
• Check in regularly on projects both physically and remotely to ensure all processes and timelines are being met within client and organization expectations
• Address employee issues both positive and negative to ensure the health of the organization is maintained and employees’ needs are met.
• Complete and conduct all employee reviews including 90 day and EOY Annual Reviews
• Involved within employee disciplinary actions including HR related issues, write-ups and terminations
• Work with executive management team to tackle challenges as it relates to clients, employees, materials needed, process redesign etc...
• Build strong client relationships through face-to-face encounters as often as possible
• Identify process design changes needed and work with executive management team to revise and implement
• Frequently audit Pro Core to ensure all documents, processes and project structure is being followed and maintained by team for accurate reporting
• Analyze capacity of employees within their roles and manage their work flow accordingly
• Identify employees who need additional training and what training they need and actively work with employee and/or structure the correct training to allow the employee the opportunity to grow and become more efficient
• Maintain strong employee morale by building individual relationships while still being able to drive expectations both internally and based on client’s expectations

· Weekly Open Bid Review Meeting
· Weekly Upper Management Meeting
· Monthly P&L Review with Upper Management
· Quarterly Goal Review
Candidate Qualifications:
· 7-10 years of construction management
· Bachelors in the field of business or construction required
· Ability to read and analyze blue projects
· The right candidate must be able to multitask while remaining organized
· Excellent Excel skills required
· Excellent technical skills, including using computers, the Internet and file sharing required.
· Strong personal management skills, dedication and organization required.
· Able to take direction and execute with minimum supervision.
