Asset Management Analyst - Part Time
Location: Maplewood, MN (Hybrid onsite - 2-3 times per week max)
Duration: 12 Months +Ext
3M is starting a project to update the information in it's IT asset management database to support various Cyber Defense initiatives. The IT Analyst will be responsible for executing tasks related to the enhancement of our IT asset management database. This role involves collaborating with Cyber Defense, IT personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our asset data and support the overall success of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in defining project scope and identifying key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, including deliverables and timelines.
- Support the establishment of office hours and creation of training resources for asset owners.
- Participate in the development and execution of a communications plan.
- Help define key identifiers and core data elements for asset management.
- Perform data entry, quality review, and remediation to maintain asset inventory.
- Collaborate in developing roles and responsibilities (RACI) for asset inventory maintenance.
- Conduct initial interviews and participate in data cleanup activities.
- Maintain regular interaction with PM/ISRC/Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment.
- Verify data integrity and ensure accuracy within the asset management database.
- Gather stakeholder feedback and assist in evaluating project outcomes.
- Identify gaps in approach, timelines, or details and provide recommendations for improvement.
Skills
- Experience in IT asset management or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Cyber Defense principles is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
