Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher, supporting a diverse group of learners with multiple disabilities in a collaborative school environment. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity runs from August 4th, 2026 to May 21st, 2027 and offers a rewarding chance to use your skills and experience in a dynamic setting. Situated near Arvada, CO, you’ll work with a dedicated team to ensure every student receives the individualized support they deserve.
What you'll bring:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license with Special Education Generalist endorsement
- At least two years of classroom experience working with students with multiple disabilities
- Strong background in collaborating with paraeducators, therapists, and other support staff
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging classroom environment for all learners
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet a variety of needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Role highlights:
- Provide direct instruction and support for an elementary caseload with a student-to-provider ratio of 10:1
- Partner with 2 dedicated paraeducators and a multidisciplinary support team including OT, PT, Psychologist/Social Worker, and Speech-Language Pathologist
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Foster a caring, respectful, and nurturing classroom culture
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Participate in school meetings and collaborate on best practices and interventions
