Job Title: Medical Assistant – Urology Clinic

Location: Milwaukee, WI 53215

Job Type: Contract

Unit Overview

• Beds: 13
• Patient Volume: 20–30 patients per day (up to 110 when fully staffed)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of clinic experience
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Patient Population

• Adults only
• Common conditions include incontinence, kidney & bladder cancer, prostate cancer, kidney/bladder stones, and pre/post TURPS care

Required Certifications & Licensure

• BLS required
• CMA preferred (non-certified MAs will be considered)

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vitals, review medications and health history
• Administer injections
• Assist with in-office procedures, including exposed procedures
• Support scope processing and high-level disinfection (preferred)
• Procedures experience preferred: catheter removal, straight caths, cystoscopies, fill & void tests, Urojet

Team & Support

• 3 Medical Assistants
• 2 LPNs and 12 RNs
• 10 Urologists (typically 3 onsite at a time)
• 35 Mid-level Providers

Technology

• EMR: Ambulatory EPIC (preferred)

Floating

• May float to nearby AMG Urology clinics (Franklin, Sinai, Brookfield, Mayfair, West Allis, New Berlin)
• Farthest location is approximately 30 minutes
• Schedule provided in advance but may change if needed

Scheduling & Shift Details

• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Start Times: Between 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM (varies by clinic)
• Weekend Rotation: None
• On-Call: No
• Holidays: Closed on major holidays; half-days before Christmas and New Year’s
• Schedule Release: Weekly

Orientation

• New Employee Orientation followed by unit-based orientation for the remainder of the week
