We are seeking a seasoned Consulting VOB Specialist (Contract) to join our remote team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional with a strong background in CMD, mental health, behavioral health, medical billing, claims, and EOB review. As a VOB Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare operations, ensuring that every aspect of our billing and claims processes runs smoothly. You will be joining a vibrant, dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation. This role is a contract position and is perfect for those who are passionate about healthcare and are looking to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting VOB Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all aspects of Verification of Benefits (VOB) processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
2. Reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and medical claims, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues promptly.
3. Collaborating with the behavioral health and mental health teams to understand their specific billing requirements and ensure these are met.
4. Conducting regular audits of billing and claims procedures to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes.
5. Serving as a subject matter expert on CMD, providing guidance and support to other team members as needed.
6. Liaising with insurance providers, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve any issues or disputes related to billing and claims.
7. Staying up-to-date on the latest healthcare industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and applying this knowledge to your role.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Consulting VOB Specialist role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
2. Proven experience with CMD, mental health, behavioral health, medical billing, claims, and EOB review.
3. A strong understanding of Verification of Benefits (VOB) processes.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
6. The ability to work effectively in a remote setting, with a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
7. A passion for healthcare, with a commitment to providing the best possible service to our patients and providers.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines.
9. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
