Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a meticulous approach to detail, and experience with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately for salaried and hourly employees on weekly and bi-weekly cycles.
• Verify and input payroll data, including timesheets, overtime hours, and pay adjustments.
• Review payroll reports to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations as well as company policies.
• Handle payroll tax filings, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposit setups.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including paychecks and benefit deductions.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to support reporting and auditing needs.
• Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including preparation and distribution of W-2 forms.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive payroll information at all times.• Previous experience processing payroll in a multi-cycle environment.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume payroll environments.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance standards.
• Strong communication skills to effectively address employee and team inquiries.
• Ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees.
