IMPACT
Business impact
The Western Region Manager is responsible for creating strong business partnerships with brokers, growers, and key accounts with the end result of growing sales in the territory by 5% or more annually while protecting sales margin and ensuring accounts are up-to-date.
Geographic scope
This position is responsible for the Western Region of the United States to include: WA, OR, ID, MT, CO, WY, CA, AZ, UT, TX, OK, NB, ND, and SD

Leverage the expertise of the Technical Sales team to educate external stakeholders and better understand available resources

Collaborate to better understand available product lines/portfolio and make use of marketing materials

RESPONSIBILITIES

Expected outcome
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current broker and grower customers in the assigned territory segment.
- Develop clear and effective strategies for current and prospective customers.
- Expedite the resolution of customer challenges.

Build credibility for yourself and for Dummen Orange
- Promote product portfolio and increase sales to build Dummen Orange brand in the industry.
- Annually compile sales results and assign appropriate A, B, C, D customer levels.
Understand territory potential and execute sales strategy to gain topline and margin growth
- Attend regular meeting with departments to stay current on new resources available to key accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional retail managers in the territory
Build internal relationships and improve product knowledge
- Participate in trade shows and conventions
Build professional network and serve as an ambassador for Dummen Orange
REQUIREMENTS
Education (level/speciality)
Degree in Business or equivalent number of years in Floraculture or Horticulture
Experience (#)
Mininum of 5 years experience in Floraculture, Horticulture required
Proven record of growing relationships and sales in a Territory or Key Accounts role
Managerial experience (#)
3-5 years experience in a sales leadership role preferred
Knowledge and skills
Proficiency in working with MS office products, particularly Excel
Working knowledge of Spanish desired
