We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead a 5-story affordable housing project in Pontiac, MI. This ground-up development consists of 54 units, and the Construction Superintendent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of the project.
Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractors, overseeing 30-40 subs to ensure project objectives are met.
- Control project timelines and schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Lead and implement safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee quality control to ensure that construction meets required standards.
- Utilize Procore and Bluebeam for project management and documentation.
- Conduct inspections and manage change orders as necessary.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to manage commercial construction projects as a lead superintendent.
- 10+ years of experience as a general contractor superintendent.
- Experience with multi-family or mixed-use projects.
- Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing projects valued between $16-25M and 3-4 stories.
- Construction supervision and subcontractor management expertise.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety protocols.
Work Environment
This role requires onsite management in Pontiac, MI. The project is expected to be completed by March 2026, after which the superintendent will transition to the next project. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 40-hour workweek. A car allowance of $500 per month is provided. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $50.48/hr.
