Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Stepdown and Cardiac Telemetry experience to contribute to high-quality patient care at a well-respected healthcare organization in Winston-Salem, NC. This contract role offers a chance to work in a dynamic clinical environment caring for patients requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a focus on cardiac telemetry.
  • Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, titrate drips, and deliver peripheral and PICC line care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to established protocols including mandatory EKG competency assessment.
  • Float between multiple campuses as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiac telemetry or stepdown nursing role.
  • Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIH required.
  • Proven ability to manage PCU patient ratios of 1:5.
  • Strong skills in rhythm recognition and dysrhythmia management.
  • Experience with peripheral and PICC line management and titrating intravenous drips.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude toward attendance and scheduling.

Schedule & Shift Details:

  • Night shift, 3 shifts per week (7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.)
  • Includes weekend and holiday rotations.
  • No call responsibility.
  • Floating at different campuses as needed.
