Daily Responsibilities:
The Assembly Seibi Technician will provide hands-on technical support to the Final Assembly Production Engineering team by reviewing equipment designs, supporting vendor buyoffs, and assisting with installation, commissioning, and startup of assembly equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and programming PLC systems, validating equipment safety, quality, and productivity, and performing trials and adjustments to optimize performance. The technician will also support domestic and international travel for equipment inspections, programming, and training, while sharing subject matter expertise and training maintenance and production teams on newly implemented systems.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Toyopuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley)
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits and industrial controls
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- 2-year technical degree or trade school completion (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or industrial controls experience
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical job functions (standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders)
- Ability to work in hot, cold, or confined industrial environments
- Valid passport and driver’s license (international travel required)
Plusses:
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Industrial robot programming and teaching (Fanuc, etc.)
- AGV/AMR programming and setup experience
- Safety scanner programming experience
- Knowledge of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, FLNet, ProfiNet, etc.)
- Automotive manufacturing experience
