We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permanent Assistant Controller. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, auditing, and monthly reporting. You will be responsible for overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting procedures and reporting systems.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Assistant Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
2. Managing journal entries, invoices etc. and reconciling accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
3. Assisting in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
4. Participating in preparation for the annual audit.
5. Collaborating with the Controller to ensure that the company’s financial operations are in compliance with legal regulations.
6. Conducting detailed financial analysis to provide insight into the company’s financial health.
7. Utilizing QuickBooks and Excel to maintain records, generate reports, and facilitate financial analysis.
8. Assisting the Controller in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Assistant Controller position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proven experience with financial analysis, auditing, and monthly reporting.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
10. Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
