We provide custom-engineered, packaged equipment to industrial markets. Position Summary:

The Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing, supporting, and improving electronic and electrical systems that integrate into power distribution products. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, optimizing product performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The engineer also provides technical guidance, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and documents design processes in quality system records.


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm


Essential Functions - Other Duties May Be Assigned.

Research and Development: Products and Specifications

  • Conducts market research to identify competitive products, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Develops electronic design proposals, defining key circuit functions and parameters, estimating development timelines, and assessing space constraints and cost considerations.
  • Recommends material selections, electronic components, and system architectures based on expected product usage and performance requirements.
  • Organizes and presents proposals for future product developments, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry needs.

Research and Development: Design Implementation

  • Designs and validates printed circuit boards (PCBs), including schematic creation, layout, routing, and component selection.
  • Conducts stress testing, environmental testing, and failure analysis to ensure product reliability and performance.
  • Develops and implements firmware or software integrations where applicable for product functionality and validation.
  • Ensures proper documentation of all design processes, including bills of materials, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and programming logic.
  • Assists in developing training materials and manufacturing guidelines for new designs.
  • Leads initial product launches, coordinating with procurement and production teams to ensure smooth implementation.

Technical Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Provides technical support for end-users, contractors, and internal teams regarding electronics systems and products.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve existing products and implement design enhancements.
  • Contributes to the development of sales and marketing materials by providing technical insights and documentation.

Other Essential Duties

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Or equivalent education and experience.

· While previous experience in power distribution engineering is preferred, it is not required.

Basic CAD and/or basic PCB layout and fabrication.

• Deep understanding of the product development process as well as familiarity with cost estimating and

feasibility of product manufacturing.

• Knowledge of electronic circuit design and theory: op amps, power supplies, digital logic, microprocessors, PC

systems, component selection.

• Familiarity with the creation and interpretation of electronic schematics, bills of material, test procedures, PCB

design documentation, etc.

• Ability to handle multiple projects / meet deadlines.

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment.

• Proficiency with advanced test equipment and instrumentation (e.g. network analyzer, digital oscilloscope,

spectrum analyzer, etc.)

• Flexibility to anticipate change and respond to business needs and priorities based upon emerging technologies.

• Excellent oral, written and presentations skills.

• Familiarity with a variety of engineering and production related software including ERP’s.

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint, Excel) to deliver professional presentations and

reporting.


Work Schedule: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.
