Job Description

BCBA - Board Certified Behavior Analyst

  • Williamsburg, Virginia

A Better Day ABA is a BCBA-owned and operated practice that prioritizes mentorship, collaboration, and ethical decision-making. We are looking for a BCBA who aligns with our values and is excited about the work that we do and the impact that we make. We care less about how long you’ve been a BCBA and more about your enthusiasm, integrity, and willingness to grow.

What We Offer

  • Manageable caseloads
  • Flexible admin days
  • Clinic set schedule
  • 15 PTO days
  • Additional PTO day for in-person CEUs
  • 8 paid holidays
  • Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) contributions

What Sets Apart:

  • Compassion over compliance and trauma-informed care (these are more than just taglines to us)
  • Flexible caseloads & work schedules
  • Emphasis on innovation, education, and enthusiasm
  • Skilled, creative, and hardworking support staff
  • A bright, clean, and fun clinic environment
  • Opportunity to mentor and shape future BCBAs

We believe this is a people field—and we care deeply about clients, their families, and our employees. We are passionate about ethical, individualized ABA—and we are here to make a difference in the lives of clients, their families, and the Williamsburg community. We will never be a big-box company, but we have a vision to grow locally.

Compensation:

$78,000 base salary

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize evidence-based methods to provide individualized, client-centered treatment to children and their families
  • Generate client documentation and communicate clinical information to all stakeholders
  • Comply with insurance and government policies, laws, and procedures
  • Collaborate with other service providers and community resources using a holistic and integrated approach
  • Empower families through comprehensive training sessions and engagement during clinic sessions
  • Supervise the implementation of treatment plans by technicians and provide training and feedback to ensure accuracy, consistency, and meaningful progress
  • Promote collaboration, professionalism, mentorships, empowerment, and advocacy

Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA certification and Virginia license
  • Completion of the 8-hour supervision training
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children with autism

About Company

A Better Day ABA is a small, family-oriented business that is owned and operated by BCBAs.

Our mission is to provide effective and ethical ABA therapy to clients and their families.

  • We offer the highest quality services delivered with enthusiasm and respect.
  • We utilize positive reinforcement to teach behaviors that are beneficial to clients, which includes replacing challenging behaviors that are barriers to independence and growth.
  • We value compassion over compliance and progress over perfection.
  • We believe that one size does not fit all and that programs must be individualized to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • We are committed to making every day a better day for clients and their families.

At A Better Day ABA, the bottom line is not about the $$$; it is always about the health and well-being of our employees and clients. If our employees aren't happy, then the families of the clients won't be happy either. A Better Day ABA strives to take care of both!
