Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a center-based K–2 setting, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License
- Licensure in ASD and/or DCD specializations
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Special Education or related area
- Previous experience in a center-based or self-contained classroom
- Comfort managing a caseload of students receiving specialized instruction
Preferred Experience:
- Proven ability to manage multiple student needs and maintain compliance with IEPs and regulations
- Familiarity with PBIS, ABA, or similar behavior management frameworks
- Effective working with young children in K–2
- Previous work alongside paraprofessional staff
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction in a center-based classroom to meet individual student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for your assigned caseload (approximately 6 students)
- Partner with paraprofessionals and actively participate in a supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and psychologists
- Support both academic achievements and positive behavioral outcomes for your students
- Ensure all practices comply with state and district standards
