Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering plays a crucial role in the supply chain by developing and executing strategies for internal plant operations and selecting and on-boarding new suppliers to ensure the optimal execution of the business. Their work is essential for maintaining cost-effectiveness and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand product specifications and requirements.
- Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure materials meet required standards.
- Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance internal and sourcing processes.
- Perform critical activities within site including SOP development, line setup, ECN workflows and mfg. readiness.
- Prepare and distribute RFQ’s, analyze quotes, select best total cost suppliers, and set up new parts in site ERP systems.
- Participate in identification, qualification, and development of new production suppliers.
- Participate in supplier meetings and occasional on-site supplier visits; limited overnight travel required.
- Participate in supplier problem solving.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Buyers/Planners, Engineering, Accounting, and suppliers.
- Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other.
- Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
- Drive alignment of New Product Introduction strategy with internal stakeholders and the external supplier base.
- Develop documentation to support production (work instructions, flow charts, procedures, routings, product labels).
- Actively participate in design reviews and provide input to new electronic circuit designs obsolescence redesigns.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing within the plant.
- Be a key player in resolving yield issues.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related technical field required.
- 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and to represent Culligan effectively and professionally in dealings with suppliers.
- Proficient with MS Office Programs and ERP/MRP system experience required.
- Ability to work effectively in teams as well as individually.
- Ability to easily work with people at all levels of the organization, and to establish collaborative relationship with peers.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiating, follow-through, and accuracy skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Target Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 salary a year. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
