Were looking for a Director of Safety who can lead with strategy, inspire with passion, and drive results that keep safety at the forefront of everything we do.
The Role:
This is not a clipboard-and-checklist kind of position (though youll have both when needed). As our Director of Safety, youll be the architect of our safety program by setting the vision, shaping policies, leading training, and keeping us in compliance with all the rules and regs (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and more). Youll partner with senior leaders, collaborate across departments, and create innovative approaches to ensure our jobsites and facilities are not just compliant but truly safe, healthy, and productive environments.
What Youll Do:
- Design, direct, and continually improve our company-wide Safety Program for all projects and employees.
- Deliver monthly safety training thats both informative and engaging
- Conduct jobsite-specific safety plans, hazard analyses, and accident investigations to include turning lessons learned into proactive solutions.
- Be our companys safety ambassador by representing us with employees, clients, insurance reps, and regulatory agencies.
- Partner with project teams to prevent accidents before they happen and respond effectively when they do.
- Track safety metrics, analyze trends, and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
- Serve as a trusted resource for safety guidance, from new hire orientations to seasoned field leader training.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree and 10+ years in Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (multi-location experience a plus).
- CSP certification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, EM-385, and related regulations.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to make complex safety requirements understandable and actionable.
- A collaborative leader who can unite, guide, and motivate the teams toward shared safety goals while fostering trust and accountability.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and ready to lead safety in a fast-paced construction environment.
