In the role of an Oncology Nurse Navigator, you will serve as a pivotal support system for patients navigating their cancer experiences. This specialized nursing position merges clinical knowledge with empathetic coordination, guaranteeing that each patient receives tailored and uninterrupted care. You will work in close partnership with patients, their families, healthcare providers, and a multidisciplinary team to link resources, optimize treatment strategies, and offer steadfast support from the moment of diagnosis through to survivorship. Position Overview:
Title: Nurse Navigator - Oncology
Location: Cancer Care Center
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of practice
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Experience: 3 years in an oncology environment is preferred
- Experience in formal patient education and community presentations
- Facilitation of support groups
- Certifications: Oncology Nursing Certification or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
