Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources operations. This role will be responsible for managing recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR background with experience in the construction industry and an understanding of multi-state employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that support company objectives and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes for field and office staff.
- Manage employee relations, providing guidance and conflict resolution to employees and management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA and other construction-related regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and leave management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Support performance review processes, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and ensure safety compliance.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and retention strategies.
- Oversee HR metrics and reporting to track trends and support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification preferred: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the construction industry or a similar field environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, with experience in multi-state operations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
