Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Formal Practical Nursing Education approved by the NM Board of Nursing.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in NM.
  • BLS certification (required).
  • PDS IV Certification course (to be completed during orientation).
  • Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias (BCA) certification for telemetry areas (prior to ACLS).
  • ACLS certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire, if required).

Your Responsibilities

As an LPN, you will:

  • Contribute to the assessment of health status for individuals and families.
  • Administer treatments and medications as prescribed, and assist nurses and physicians with procedures.
  • Document patient needs, actions taken, and responses accurately.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Create a supportive and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Incorporate Exceptional Patient Experience principles into all care interactions.
