Lab Technician

Location: Warrensville Heights, OH
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay: $18 per hour (depending on experience)


Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join a growing laboratory team in Warrensville Heights, OH. This position is responsible for supporting laboratory testing, sample preparation, and data recording while ensuring adherence to laboratory procedures and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory environment and strong attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory tests and analysis on samples following established procedures
  • Prepare, label, and process samples for testing
  • Operate laboratory instruments and equipment including balances, pH meters, and other analytical tools
  • Record, analyze, and report test results accurately in laboratory systems or logs
  • Maintain laboratory equipment through cleaning, calibration, and basic troubleshooting
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Assist with maintaining laboratory inventory and supplies
  • Ensure proper documentation and organization of lab data and records


Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field preferred
  • Previous laboratory experience (academic or professional) is a plus
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and instrumentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with pH testing, viscosity testing, or general wet chemistry methods
  • Exposure to microbiology or PCR testing is a plus
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control practices
