Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals
• Create a consistent, structured, and safe learning space designed for students with emotional and behavioral challenges
• Develop and implement effective behavior intervention plans and de-escalation strategies
• Foster social-emotional learning and essential life skills through direct instruction and daily interactions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including behavioral specialists, administrators, and support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including reports and participation in IEP meetings

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid (or eligible for) South Carolina Special Education certification
• Previous experience in emotional disabilities (ED), behavioral support, or alternative education settings is highly valued
• Strong background in classroom management and crisis intervention
• Exceptional skills in remaining calm, empathetic, and student-centered, especially in high-needs situations
