Bookkeeper | Plainwell, MI
Salary Range: $46,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments for materials and services.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers for manufactured goods and following up on collections.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Process payroll for manufacturing staff, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and generate basic financial statements.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Demonstrated understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and job costing in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and support month-end/year-end close processes.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.
Bonus Qualifications
- Exposure to cost accounting principles or inventory valuation methods.
- Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Familiarity with manufacturing-specific financial reporting or analysis.
- Experience supporting budgeting or forecasting processes.
