Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care position caring for complex medical and stroke patients on night shifts.
Details
- Position is in a stepdown intermediate care unit
- Patient population includes medical, DKA, cardiac, GI, renal, sepsis, trauma, surgical, and stroke cases
- This is a dedicated Stroke Unit with 30 beds
- Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4
- Night shift hours are 18:45-07:15
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years stepdown or relevant experience
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Current ACLS certification from AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing complex medical, cardiac, and stroke patients
- All travelers must possess a US Social Security Number and a US home address
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate, with radius rules varying by state
- Documentation required includes two separate references and a copy of driver’s license
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for consideration
