Join Our Dynamic Ortho and Neuro Unit! \n\nJob Description: \n\n- Position: Registered Nurse in Med/Surg - Ortho \n- Shift: Night shifts (4x12-Hour) from 19:00 to 07:30 \n- Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience \n- Patient Ratio Experience: 1:6 \n- Charting System: Epic (recent experience within 6 months required) \n- Certifications: \n - BLS (required) \n - NIHSS (preferred) \n\nKey Skills (Preferred): \n- Neurological/Psychiatric \n- Mood disorders \n- Pre/Post neurosurgery \n- Traumatic Brain Injury \n- CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) \n- Substance Withdrawal \n- Orthopedics \n- Peripheral nerve block catheters \n- Ortho trauma \n- Total joint replacement \n\nWork Settings: \n- Med/Surg \n- IV therapy/Phlebotomy \n- Peripheral line care/management \n- Respiratory (Nasal Cannula & Non-invasive airway management) \n\nProfessional Knowledge and Skills: \n- Isolation precautions/PPE \n- Wound care/Wound Vac \n\nPatient Ratios: \n- Days: 1:5 \n- Nights: 1:5 \n- Weekends: 1:5 \n\nAdditional Details: \n- Float required to units of equal or lesser acuity \n- Pre-approved time off: 2 requests \n- Orientation Hours: 20 \n- Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics \n- Daily Census: 30 \n- Number of Rooms/Beds: 35 each \n\nInterdisciplinary Support: \n- Physical Therapy \n- Respiratory Services \n- Phlebotomy \n- Radiology \n- Social Services \n- Rapid Response Teams \n- Pharmacy \n- Transportation \n- Unit Secretary \n\nSpecial Features of Our Unit: \n- Recent Epic experience strongly preferred \n- Diverse patient population: Orthopedic and Neurology \n- Centralized telemetry monitoring \n- Free floating charge nurse available \n- Patient Care Technicians and Transporters on-site \n- House discharge nurse that supports all departments \n- Free covered parking nearby \n- Discounted meals available \n- Local discounted hotels offered \n- Assistance with attaining NIHSS certification \n\nScrub Color: Any, no logos \nLocal Traveler Policy: A minimum of 50-mile radius from the facility is required \n\nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
