Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An educational opportunity is available for a qualified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to support students across grades K-12 in a prehensive school setting in Ft Mitchell, KY. This contract position spans the current school year, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment to utilize specialized skills in facilitating munication, learning, and social development for deaf and hard of hearing students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing students
  • Use specialized strategies and technologies to enhance language acquisition and academic achievement
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive educational environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust methods to optimize learning outes
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings related to deaf education

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education or equivalent credentials
  • Proven experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Strong munication skills, including proficiency in sign language or other relevant modes of munication
  • Ability to design and deliver differentiated instruction adapted to students diverse learning needs
