The Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg/Telemetry provides comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, cardiac monitoring experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments and monitor vital signs

• Continuously monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms

• Identify and respond promptly to arrhythmias or changes in patient condition

• Recognize early signs of patient deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions

• Collaborate with physicians, rapid response teams, and other clinical staff

• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and case management

• Communicate patient status changes using the SBAR communication framework

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Ensure compliance with clinical policies, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
  (Permanent experience required prior to travel assignments)

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license

• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
