A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve at an elementary school setting in Hemet, CA. This contract position runs from ASAP through June of the current school year (CSY), providing essential support to students by enhancing their communication skills. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy tailored to the unique needs of elementary-aged learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student performance and communicate outcomes.
- Provide guidance on augmentative communication tools and strategies, when necessary.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification in speech-language pathology.
- Experience in a school-based setting, preferably working with elementary students.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders.
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
