Business Operations Coordinator

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $26.00/hr


Position Overview:

The Business Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in the smooth operation of our branch, supporting both the Branch Manager and various teams within the organization. This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational duties, including HR support, accounting functions, sales assistance, and general operational tasks. The Business Operations Coordinator must be proactive, detail-oriented, and have strong problem-solving abilities, ensuring seamless communication and efficient processes within the branch.

  • Industry Experience: Proven understanding of the landscaping or similar industries.
  • Technological Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting and HR software, MS Office Suite, and communication tools.
  • Prioritization & Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.


Core Responsibilities of the Business Operations Coordinator:

  • Branch Operations Support: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the branch, answering phone calls, managing inquiries, arranging travel accommodations for staff, and overseeing uniform distribution and inventory management.
  • Sales & Client Support: Support the sales team in preparing and managing sales contracts, maintaining accurate records of sales transactions, and contributing to the achievement of branch sales targets.
  • Accounting & Financial Administration: Accurately process invoices in the accounting system, manage customer payments, and assist with financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Human Resources & Employee Support: Coordinate new employee orientations, manage onboarding processes, assist with payroll preparation, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and work compensation claims.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with HR leadership, sales teams, and other departments to ensure effective communication and adherence to branch objectives.


Experience and Qualifications for the Business Operations Coordinator:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven administrative experience, preferably within the landscaping or related industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and accounting software.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in HR functions, accounting processes, payroll, and invoice management.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric mindset.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a solution-oriented approach.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours with flexibility required for non-standard hours as needed.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to other branches or offices as needed.
