TITLE: Courier

REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor

FLSA: Non-Exempt

CATEGORY: Full Time

SHIFT: Monday – Friday 8:15am – 5:15pm

SUMMARY

The Courier provides delivery services by motor vehicle and general office support. Assumes responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to employment and banking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Transports and delivers deposit transactions, documents, letters and packages to and from destinations according to daily route schedule, and on-call pickups and deliveries as needed.
  2. Accounts for assigned items against receipts and invoices.
  3. Keep detailed records of all pick up and dropped of items.
  4. Maintains vehicle maintenance logs.
  5. Prepares information for client orders and requests.
  6. Charges clients’ appropriate fees.

SECONDARY DUTIES

  1. Completes assigned Compliance Training schedule.
  2. Maintains compliance with Bank’s BSA/AML policies and procedures.
  3. Answers Branch main-line phones when needed.
  4. Assists Tellers with orders/requests.
  5. Processing outgoing mail.

QUALIFICATIONS AND DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid driver’s license with no major traffic violations.
  3. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, and to speak clearly to clients, colleagues, directors and shareholders.
  4. Good time management skills to ensure maximum productivity.
  5. Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties and to handle confidential information with discretion.
  6. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Continuous clarity of vision at all distances as required for driving.
  2. Repetitive walking between courier vehicle and client business location.
  3. Frequent use of arms such as pushing/pulling to open and close doors, drawers and cabinets.
  4. Ability to bend and/or reach, and to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  5. Frequent use of hands such as grasping, twisting/turning of wrists, and finger dexterity necessary for writing, and typing.
