A healthcare position is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Stepdown unit expertise, located in Long Beach, CA. This contract opportunity offers a chance to apply specialized skills in a dynamic clinical environment supporting patients requiring advanced respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Stepdown unit, with a focus on managing tracheostomies and ventilators efficiently.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all clinical protocols and standards.
- Participate in weekend shifts and ensure continuity of care during scheduled hours.
- Complete all mandatory compliance requirements both prior to and following the start date.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license with Stepdown or progressive care experience.
- Proficiency in managing tracheostomies and ventilator-supported patients.
- Certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
- Up-to-date immunizations: MMR, Varicella, and documented negative TB test.
- Ability to consent to a drug and background screening.
- Availability for weekend work and preference given to candidates who can commit to a full schedule through the end of January and early February.
Schedule:
- Weekend availability is mandatory.
- Full schedule through late January and early February preferred.
