Long-Term Care Pharmacist Details and Compensation:
- Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73134 – 100% on site
- Payrate: $64.27/hr
- Required Availability: Monday to Friday + rotating weekends | 9am-6pm + OT
Long-Term Care Pharmacist Summary and Highlights:
The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, providing patient consultations, and maintaining pharmacy operations during overnight hours.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

Long-Term Care Pharmacist Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
- Ensure that the supply of medicines is within legal requirements.
- Verify that prescribed medications are suitable for patients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
- Provide patient counseling on medications, including dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Offer services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices.
- Compound medications for external or internal use, following established procedures.
- Prepare sterile solutions according to proper aseptic techniques.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
- Identify and address patients' drug-related problems, communicating effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and pharmacy interns.
Long-Term Care Pharmacist Requirements:
- PharmD required
- Attendance mandatory for first 90 days
- 1+ year of pharmacist experience - LTC preferably
- MUST be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of OK
- Infusion experience preferred
