We are looking for a skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team on a short-contract basis in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will oversee critical payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing payments and benefits for employees. Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for a medical practice, adhering to strict accuracy and compliance standards.

• Perform detailed data entry tasks to maintain and update payroll records.

• Manage direct deposit payroll transactions to ensure timely payment to employees.

• Calculate and administer 401K contributions as part of employee benefits.

• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for payroll and accounting functions.

• Maintain records for auditing purposes and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve payroll-related issues or discrepancies.

• Support the preparation of reports and documentation related to payroll and benefits.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, including Enterprise and ProAdvisor versions.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and accounting principles.
• Experience with 401K administration and benefit calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
• Familiarity with auditing practices and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
