Senior Controls Engineer – Manufacturing Automation

Location: Onsite | Ellabell, GA (Relocation Assistance Available)

Employment Type: Full-Time

A leading advanced manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join its growing team at a high-tech facility near Savannah, Georgia. This role focuses on automation systems within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and optimize advanced automation and controls systems
• Troubleshoot and enhance Mitsubishi PLC programs and HMI interfaces
• Analyze system performance (OEE) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Support integration of new production lines and automation upgrades
• Train technical staff on automation systems and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and error-proofing

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Mitsubishi PLCs (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field
• Strong working knowledge of automation controls, sensors, and HMI troubleshooting

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Siemens PLCs
• Background in battery manufacturing, clean energy, or similar high-tech industries
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English
