Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Novi, Michigan. The ideal candidate will excel in managing invoices, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth communication with suppliers and haulers.
Responsibilities:
• Process and generate customer invoices on a daily basis to ensure timely billing.
• Collect and verify supplier invoices, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate invoice files for easy access and record-keeping.
• Upload supplier pricing details into the system on a daily basis.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with haulers, including requesting necessary documentation.
• Enter hauler invoices into accounts payable for payment and reconciliation purposes.
• Verify and update freight rates to ensure accurate billing.
• Monitor office supply levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Perform additional tasks or projects assigned by management.• Strong proficiency in billing functions and processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in billing or related fields.
• Knowledge of the fuel industry is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proven ability to collaborate as part of a team and assist in various areas as needed.
