Job DescriptionPosition Overview:
LHH is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join one of our clients near Buckhead Atlanta.The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting for a portfolio of properties. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data to support property operations and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties, including thorough analysis and interpretation of financial reports.

Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy based on received information.

Manage a variety of accounting tasks, such as bank reconciliations, management fee calculations, and journal entries.

Conduct monthly bank statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies related to cash accounts.

Review accounts payable for proper coding, accuracy, and approval.

Support the Accounting Manager with special transactions, including property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing activities.

Assist external auditors during year-end audits for select properties.

Ensure all internal and external client reporting deadlines are met.

Prepare wire transfers and payments for monthly distributions, mortgage obligations, and other financial transactions.

Collaborate with the operations team to assist with quarterly and annual budget projections.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the accounting and property management teams.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in property accounting or a related field.

Solid understanding of tax laws relevant to property accounting.

Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping principles.

Experience with accounting software such as Yardi.

Familiarity with financial services and private equity concepts is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
