Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an Inpatient Pharmacist to support a 500-bed hospital located in Northwestern Texas. The role requires clinical expertise in hospital inpatient pharmacy services with a focus on delivering safe and effective medication management for patients. The hospital utilizes the EPIC system, making experience with this platform highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and verify inpatient medication orders to ensure accurate dispensing
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and patient outcomes
- Monitor patient medication therapy, including dosing adjustments and adverse reaction assessments
- Provide clinical consultations and support during rounds
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Desired Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as an inpatient pharmacist within a hospital setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with the EPIC electronic health record system is an advantage, supporting a smooth workflow and documentation
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining attention to detail
Schedule and Location:
- Location: Abernathy, TX (Northwestern Texas region)
- Schedule: 7 consecutive nights on, followed by 7 nights off; Wednesday through Tuesday rotation
- Position Type: Travel contract with consideration for permanent placement if candidate is interested in relocation
