Location: Ahwatukee, AZ

Hours & Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Work Environment: Neurology Clinic

Travel Required: No

Salary / Hourly Rate: $18–$25/hour DOE

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant supports physicians and clinical staff through both administrative and hands-on patient care tasks. This position plays a key role in facilitating smooth patient flow, preparing clinical spaces, and delivering high-quality care in a busy neurology practice.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet and room patients, take vital signs, and maintain efficient patient flow
  • Assist with procedures including injections, blood draws, and EMG setup
  • Manage appointment scheduling, phone calls, prescription refills, and prior authorizations
  • Communicate with external healthcare providers, testing labs, and facilities
  • Maintain and organize exam rooms, stock supplies, and order as needed
  • Process urine drug screens and handle clinical equipment (autoclave, centrifuge)
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens (urine, blood, spinal fluid, body tissue)
  • Accurately chart patient data and coordinate result letters


Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of Medical Assistant Program
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
  • AED Certification (Preferred)
  • 1 year of experience with vital signs (Preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Professional handling of confidential information
