How You’ll Make an Impact:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Control Planner to join our manufacturing team. In this role you will operate at the intersection of scheduling, material flow, production execution and control—ensuring that our global CNC machining operations run smoothly, meet delivery targets and maintain optimal resource utilization. Experience in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment with global reach is a strong plus.
What you’ll be doing as a Production Control Planner:
- Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.
- Develop, maintain and adjust production schedules for CNC machining operations in alignment with customer demand, delivery commitments and capacity constraints.
- Monitor work‐in‐process (WIP) flow, material availability, tooling, machine capacity and labor loading; identify and escalate bottlenecks or delays.
- Release work orders, coordinate shop floor sequence/priorities, liaise with machining, inspection, quality, shipping and purchasing teams to ensure timely throughput.
- Track production status daily—update ERP/MRP system, report variances, drive corrective actions to recover late or at‐risk jobs.
- Manage and expedite material/tool shortages, outsources, rework flows and ensure effective communication across global supply chain interfaces.
- Analyze capacity vs. demand, recommend adjustments, support continuous improvement initiatives (lead time reduction, inventory minimization, throughput optimization).
- Support global shop coordination: ensure alignment of production plans across multiple sites/regions as required; understand global material flows, time zones, import/export constraints.
- Prepare production performance metrics and reports (on-time delivery, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, WIP levels) and present to leadership.
- Maintain and enforce production control procedures, data integrity in ERP/MRP, standard work for planning & control functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent (or strong manufacturing experience in lieu).
- Minimum 3-5 years of production planning/control experience in a manufacturing environment within CNC machining or precision manufacturing.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (GlobalShop or JobBoss preferred) and experience managing scheduling, material flow and production orders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and handle shifting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—able to interface with shop floor, engineering, purchasing, quality, supply chain and senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and globally (if applicable).
- Solid computer skills (MS Office: especially Excel; ability to manipulate data, build reports).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and high sense of ownership.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, capacity planning, and continuous improvement concepts is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience):
- Experience with GlobalShop (Fife or Chatsworth) or JobBoss (Simi Valley/Rockford).
- Exposure to global manufacturing operations or multi‐site production coordination is a strong plus.
- Comfortable working in an environment of change and growth, with multiple competing priorities.
- Proactive mindset: not just reacting to issues, but anticipating and preventing them.
- Experience or understanding of precision CNC machining workflows (e.g., milling, turning, multi‐axis) and associated tooling, setups, inspection coordination.
- Global mindset: able to coordinate/communicate across regions/time zones, understand international supply chain considerations (customs, lead‐times, logistics, multi‐site production).

Work Environment:
A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
Compensation and Benefits:

The Production Control Planner Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $32-$42/hour commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
