Job Description
The License & Title Clerk is responsible for processing vehicle license and title transactions and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing license and title paperwork for vehicle sales transactions, including retail, wholesale, and dealer trades.
- Processing vehicle registrations.
- Maintaining titles and Manufacturer Statements of Origin (MSOs) for inventory.
- Entering new vehicle purchases into inventory systems.
- Preparing title and tax documentation for sold vehicles.
- Ensuring all transactions meet state deadlines and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- License and Title experience in Illinois and Indiana required.
- Knowledge of Illinois state law requirements related to vehicle licensing, titling, and tax payments.
- Understanding of required deadlines for processing license and title transactions.
- CVR experience preferred.
- Dealership experience is a plus.
