Schedule: 3x12 Hour Variable Shifts
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
About the Facility:
Monument Health Rapid City Hospital is a 417-bed Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center offering advanced inpatient and outpatient services. This facility also includes a Level III NICU, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Center.
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Wound Care RN to provide specialized wound assessment, treatment, and patient education in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical wound care experience and the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
Patient Population:
• Diabetic foot wounds
• Vascular wounds
• Pressure injuries
• Ostomy and HBO patients (based on experience)
Required Qualifications:
• Active RN license – South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of recent wound care experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Wound Care Certification required
• Ostomy Certification (CWOCN) required for ostomy-certified roles
• Experience with:
- Wound VACs
- Nurse Level Debridement
- Performing ABIs
- Cast Cutting
• EPIC charting experience preferred
Accepted Certifications:
• ABWM
• NAWCO
• WOCNCB
Additional Details:
• Monday–Friday scheduling for inpatient/outpatient services
• No nights, weekends, or major holidays
• Traveler may float between inpatient and outpatient departments
• 1–2 week orientation provided
• Free parking available
• Supportive, tight-knit team with strong autonomy and independence
Important Notes:
• Travelers must reside outside a 100-mile radius from any Monument Health facility
• Two professional references within the past 12 months required
• Manager interview required prior to offer
