Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process medical collections and verify insurance information for billing purposes
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and maintaining organized medical records.
- Assist in the intake process for new patients and manage follow-up appointments effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate efficient patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role is highly preferred, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and HIPAA compliance is essential.
