We’re looking for a mechanically inclined, team-oriented technician who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Macomb, MI looking to add a Manufacturing Technician to their already amazing team. What your day will look like:

• Set up, review, adjust, and troubleshoot automation and secondary equipment.
• Establish, document, and improve processes to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production.
• Maintain equipment performance to support product quality and production goals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Authorize and implement process or equipment changes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Stop any production run that creates unsafe conditions or produces out-of-spec parts.
• Ensure work instructions, process documentation, and setup sheets are accurate, complete, and accessible.
• Verify technical data, CAD files, and engineering drawings for manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
• Participate in product, tooling, and secondary equipment design reviews to ensure manufacturability.
• Support manufacturing engineers and program managers with day-to-day production needs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate re-ordering as needed.

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with plastic injection molding.
• Hands-on experience with robotics, automation, and secondary equipment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, prints, and schematics.
• Knowledgeable in using CAD software for fixture and process design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
