About Us
Ivey League Fabrication is a growing structural steel fabrication and erection company based in West Jordan, Utah. We specialize in commercial structural steel projects including main steel erection, steel joists, metal decking, and miscellaneous metals.
Our fabrication shop produces approximately 100 tons of structural steel per month, and we are expanding our field erection division to support commercial construction projects throughout Utah.
We are looking for experienced structural steel ironworkers who take pride in quality work and want to be part of a professional team.
Position Overview
We are hiring Structural Steel Ironworkers / Steel Erectors with experience in:
- Structural steel erection
- Bolt-up and connecting
- Steel joist installation
- Metal deck installation
- Miscellaneous steel installation
- Field welding using SMAW and/or FCAW-S
You will work as part of a field crew erecting structural steel for commercial construction projects.
This position requires experienced ironworkers familiar with structural steel erection.
Responsibilities
- Erect structural steel beams, columns, and braces
- Install steel joists and metal decking
- Perform bolt-up and connecting
- Perform field welding using SMAW and/or FCAW-S
- Install miscellaneous metals including stairs, railings, embeds, and supports
- Work safely at heights using proper fall protection
- Read erection drawings and structural details
- Work with cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts
Requirements
✔ Experience in structural steel erection
✔ Ability to perform SMAW and/or FCAW-S welding
✔ Experience installing joist and metal deck
✔ Ability to work at heights
✔ Reliable transportation
✔ Strong work ethic and team mentality
Preferred but not required:
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Welding certifications
- Rigging or signalperson experience
Compensation
$25 – $35 per hour depending on experience
